Peace Garden was conceived and planted by Kühn at Ralph Bunche Park, adjacent to the United Nations in New York. The living installation used cultivation as a gesture of peace and renewal, creating a public site for reflection within the landscape surrounding the United Nations.
To mark the garden, Kühn and landscape artist Lily Kwong created an intimate happening within the space, bringing people together around the garden and its themes of peace, cultivation, and collective care, on the 50th Anniversary of the Summer of Love.
