Yearbook Afghanistan is a photographic book documenting students attending schools Kühn helped establish in Afghanistan. Borrowing the familiar structure of a school yearbook, the work brings together individual portraits of the students within a collective record of their school community.
Photographed by Rival Wijesooriya, the portraits capture moments of playfulness, reserve, humor, and self-possession, while the yearbook format gives each student a place within a shared visual archive.
